Casa Mango sits on the quieter north side of Santa Teresa, about a five-minute walk to the beach, with panoramic Pacific views and no neighbors in sight. Most guests fly into Liberia (LIR) or San José (SJO), then continue by private transfer, rental car, or a mix of flight and road.

Flights

Liberia (LIR) is usually the easiest gateway for Santa Teresa — shorter overall travel than San José for many itineraries.

San José (SJO) works well for international connections; plan a longer transfer day or an overnight if you land late.

Domestic hops to Tambor (TMU) can shorten the road portion when schedules line up — ask us and well help you weigh options for your dates.

Transfers & drive times

Private door-to-door transfers are the most seamless option after a long flight. Shared shuttles exist on popular routes; rental cars give you flexibility for day trips (roads near Santa Teresa are partly unpaved).

Typical ranges (traffic and rainy-season roads vary):

  • Liberia (LIR) → Santa Teresa: often about 2.5–3.5 hours by road

  • - San Jos (SJO) → Santa Teresa: often about 4.5–6+ hours by road

  • - Tambor area → Santa Teresa: much shorter once you’re on the peninsula
